I'm Alive

The only clothes I have to wear have been worn by another already.
I have no money I can spare - yeah, the cash flow's truly petty.

I left my warm and sunny home - every cell in my body is frozen
And now the places that I roam are not the ones I would have chosen.

But I'm alive. I'm alive!
I've got two strong hands and I'm alive
I'm alive. I'm alive!
It's got to be worth something I'm still alive.

Sack of potatoes left to eat - my stomach cries out loud.
I got no shoes upon my feet - I used to be so proud.

No loving arms to wrap around me - tell me everything's alright.
The loneliness surrounds me - especially late into the night.

But I'm alive. I'm alive!
My music lives on, I'm alive.
I'm alive. Still alive!
It's got to be worth something I'm still alive.

I must admit that I know not what lies ahead
But I won't think about it lying here in bed
Guess I'll get up and live my life today instead
'Cause a day like this won't be worth too much when I'm dead...

But I'm alive. I'm alive!
My music lives on, I'm alive.
I'm alive. Still alive!
It's got to be worth something I'm still alive.
