Damsel in Distress

Oh me, oh my Ė Iíve got a pile of books here,
Itís at least four book high Ė I canít carry that loadÖ Iím just a girl
Hey you Ė over there! With those big strong arms and that Samson-like hair,
Could you find it in your heart to help out a damsel in distress?

Iím just a damsel in distress,
You donít want me to dirty up this pretty little dress now, do you?
I think that would be a crime.
I can hardly lift a thing Ė why, the strongest part of me is this little pinky finger,
Iíve got you wrapped around it oh so tight.

Oh dear! Whatís that? Donít tell me you expect me to be able to do math
Those figures mix me up Ė Iím just a girl.
But hey you! In the suitÖ Bet youíve got the brains and youíve got the looks to boot,
Could you find it in your heart to help out a damsel in distress?

Iím just a damsel in distress,
You donít want me messing up my pretty little head now, do you?
That would be a shame.
Me & numbers just donít get along - Ďcept for when itís money cominí from your wallet
Thatís the only way I play that game.

Whatís that? Oh no! Iíd like to travel, but I canít work up the courage to go
Not all by myself Ė come on Ö Iím just a girl.
But hey Ė what about you? I bet you could figure out a plan or two,
Could you find it in your heart to help out a damsel in distress.

Iím just a damsel in distress,
You donít want to put my bravery to the test now, do you?
Make my little heart sink.
I canít do things all on my own Ė canít even get up the courage to pick up the phone and call you
At least thatís what I want you to think.

Iím just a damsel in distress,

Iím telliní you baby, Iím a damsel in distress!
