Doo Wah Diddy Voodoo Daddy

If you're ever feeling badly, there's a voodoo daddy,
Maybe ten miles out that way.
If you get there nightly and you ask politely,
He might give a little ditty away.

He'll pull out that string thing, and give a little wing-ding,
And polly wolly doodle all day.
With the gators all a-snappin' and the coyotes all a-yappin'
The full moon gets that ditty to say:

Well, he's a voodoo daddy with the doo wah diddy,
Did he do a little ditty for you?
With that doo wah diddy, he's the voodoo daddy,
Doo wah diddyin' the whole night through.

Now if you've lost your mojo and you're feeling just
Oh so tired of eating beans and rice,
Just gather 'round the fire, we'll cook up some jambalaya,
And fried chicken, oh so nice.

The corn bread's tasty, and the grits ain't too pasty,
And the chicken's just as juicy as can be.
It's lip-smackin' action, you will get your satisfaction,
But you can't have that Creole recipe.

Well, he's a voodoo daddy with the doo wah diddy,
Did he do a little ditty for you?
With that doo wah diddy, he's the voodoo daddy,
Doo wah diddyin' the whole night through.

There's some evil ditties, there's good old ditties,
And some dum-dum-diddy, diddy why would you do?
There's moonshine ditties, some itty bitty ditties,
And there might could be a ditty just for you.

Well, he's a voodoo daddy with the doo wah diddy,
Did he do a little ditty for you?
With that doo wah diddy, he's the voodoo daddy,
Doo wah diddyin' the whole night through.

Now, if you do a ditty with the daddy,
It'd be a pity if you did it badly.
Don't make it sappy, don't make it silly,
It should be happy, all willy-nilly.

Well, he's a voodoo daddy with the doo wah diddy,
Did he do a little ditty for you?
With that doo wah diddy, he's the voodoo daddy,
Doo wah diddyin' the whole night through.
