I Don't Blame You

He comes and goes without a warning,
Draws you in, like some sort of ghost.
Late at night or early morning,
Might disappear if you get too close.

He'll seduce you with his beautiful body,
Then surprise you with his wit,
He can dance, he can sing, he captures the attention of everybody,
All that you want is to capture his.

I don't blame you...
I don't blame you...
How could I blame you?
Just for loving him too.

I remember that first day that I saw him,
I went swimming in his eyes.
The rest of my world faded, it all grew dim,
So brightly did he shine.

Opened up his arms and I walked in blindly,
He wrapped me in his spell.
Left my would-be future trailing behind me,
And I fell, I fell, I fell, I fell, I fell.
I don't blame you...
I don't blame you...
How could I blame you?
Just for loving him too.

I'm usually not the girl to make mistakes,
Don't open up my heart just to break it,
I go into things wide awake,
Not dreaming of our future children.

Well, I think I saw it happen,
You came walking through the door.
I could see, I could see your butterfly wings flappin'.
But I noticed him noticing you more.

I don't blame you...
I don't blame you...
How could I blame you?
Just for loving him too.
